Visual Basic Project on Library Management System

This project Library Management System is a desktop application which has been developed in Visual Basic 6 and SQL Server 2000. We are providing all the educational visual basic 6.0 projects with ms access database with source code according to students purpose. Here students can download latest vb database projects synopsis. The current Library Management System does not eliminate the process of searching books within the library campus. Students have to find books manually. They have to wait until they are not provided with their library card and token. For receiving book they have to show their library card and wait in line for their turns. The admin personnel also have to look manually on which day which person will take the charge within library to manage the overall work. The project library management system is capable to store all the information in the database from where user will place their query and get the results on the basis of their query. Only valid users will be able to access this Library Management System. Through this Library Management System it will be easy to manage accounts and various details of particular student and employees working under library along with the records of book. Modules and Description of Library Management System Project:

Publisher Module :

The main purpose for developing this module is to manage the publisher. So all publisher will be managed by admin. We have developed all type of CRUD (Create, Read, Update and Delete) operations of the publisher. This is a role based module where admin can perform each and every operations on data but the book will be able to view only his/her data, so access level restrictions has also been implemented on the project.

Book Module :

The main aim for developing this module is provide all the functionality realted to book. This book module is the main module in this project Library Management System which has been developed on Visual Basic 6 and SQL Server. It tracks all the information and details of the book. We have developed all type of CRUD (Create, Read, Update and Delete) operations of the book.

Features of Book Module:

  • Admin can add new book
  • Admin can see the list of book details
  • Only admin can edit and update the record of the book
  • Admin will be able to delete the records of the book
  • All book forms are validated on client side using JavaScript

Stock Module :

The main aim for developing this module is to manage the stock data wise. All stocks will be managed by admin and book will be able able to see stock. Admin can see the list of all the stock and filter it according to the books.

Members Module :

The main objective for developing this module is provide all the functionality realted to members. It tracks all the information and details of the members. We have developed all type of CRUD (Create, Read, Update and Delete) operations of the members.
